Letter grades will be based on:

Points given for Daily Work

In-class activities

Special Projects

Tests / Quizzes

Accelerated Reading

Accelerated Math

EXPECTATIONS

Assignments are to be headed correctly, well-organized, written neatly, and are to be a reflection of the student's best effort. Papers which do not meet these standards will not be accepted.

Assignments not finished in class are due the following school day by 8:30 AM.

Assignments which are not done on time or are done on time, but do not meet  'quality' standards will be due at 8:30 of the next school day.  Twenty points will be deducted from the earned percentage when figuring the letter grade for these papers.

Late or poor quality assignments not handed in by 8:30 the following school day become a zero, and the student will need to make arrangements to attend an after school Study Club to complete the late work. 

Because it is imperative that students get fresh air, exercise, and  time for social interaction with their peers, recess times will not be utilized for late or sloppily done work. 

Recess times will be reserved for addressing the needs of students who may be challenged by a particular concept.

Any outstanding assignments will become Incompletes, and will need to be completed before a report card will be issued.
