D.A.R.E. stands for Drug Abuse Resistance Education. Classes for Warner 5th graders meet once a week for nine weeks. Customarily, DARE classes have been held in the fall of the school year. Culminating these weeks of study, students write an essay outlining all they have learned in the program and include a 'Pledge Statement' to make wise decisions about the role of drugs in their lives. Upon meeting all the requirements of DARE, students are presented with a t-shirt, pin, and certificate at a culmination program to which parents are invited. Warner School is most grateful to our DARE officer, Deputy Koens, and the Brown County Sheriff's Department for volunteering their time and resources to the outstanding job they do in bringing this wonderful program to our school ! | ||||
